Hi everybody

I use firefox 4.0.1 64bit version. But the flash-plugin does not start.

I have tried a lot (flashplugin-nonfree, flashplugin64-installer, even download the plugin directli from adobe and copiing to the given directories).

Nothing helped.

After browsing about 20 Forums, I gave up.

Versions:

Ubuntu 10.10 (64-bit)
Firefox 4.0.1 (64-bit)

Warning:

(firefox-bin:2084): Gtk-WARNING **: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodules/im-ibus.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

Any Idea what could be missing?

(PS: I could go back to firefox 3, but FireFTP does not work together with SFTP on Firefox 3. The only workaround I have now, is to see flash on firefox 3 and to use fireFTP on firefox 4.)

Greets and many thanks in advance.

(sorry for the typo in the title, but how can I change it?)

... sorry, can not be solved ...

I upgaded to ubuntu 11.04 - here it works out of the box.

Disadvantages:
- no "long time support"
- Have no chance to find the error.

Glad you got it working. Setting up Flash 54bit can sometimes be a bit tricky.
PS: ...thought I'd mention, 10.10 is also a non-LTS release.

Ah, I thought 10.10 is LTS.
So everything is solved.
