Is it possible to add Tomboy Notes to the top panel in Gnome 3? If so, how can I do it? I really miss being able to access my notes with a dropdown menu from the panel..

Yes it is. Start 'gnome-session-properties'. This is the gnome autostarter. There you can add the tomboy application by adding the command
/usr/bin/tomboy

This will start tomboy after your next login.
NOTE: tomboy did not integrate into the top panel but into the hidden panel on the bottom of your desktop. Move the mouse to the right-bottom corner!
