How do I get font for inkscape and install font in inkscape?

Just put your font file to ~/.fonts directory (create one, if you don't have it).

Or simple doubleclick the font file and then click 'Install Font'.

The font will be installed locally and be available throughout the applications you use.

When I click "Install Font" I get the message
Install Failed
