who can help me why my hp g62 laptop speaker doesnt work... but it has an audio when i connect my earphone..... i dont know why external audio work well but my laptop speaker didnt work... my o.s is ubuntu 10.04 ..?plz help me..

Right click on your sound applet in upper left and go to this tab as shown and on bottom can
choose headphones or speakers.

this is what my sound profile looks like and i have the same problem and i just to a clean install of ubuntu 10.04 and my laptop is a hp g62

Fire up CLI terminal:


alsamixer

& look for any muted modules.
