Loaded the update for 10.04 Network-Manager and it subsequently failed to function. - No tool bar symbol and no way to start it. Can't re-install as no internet without Network-Manager.
Tried replacing 10.04 with 11.04 - installer crashed.
Two days of fiddling about trying to fix it. It's getting as bad as Windows, which only forgets my desktop once a week, but I can fix that with a restore.
Can one restore 10.04 to get the old Network-Manager back?
