So far here is what I have done:
First I am working with 2 hard drives.
I had 10.10 running on my system. (running great). So I wanted to keep it in case something went wrong with the 11.04 install. I actually got 11.04 working on a new hard drive with a clean install. I did have issues with wifi, but I am not going into it here. After trying a few things I finely broke 11.04 so I installed 10.10 on the new hard drive and got everything working great again just like on my old drive.

Now to the good part. I popped in the old drive and ran an install over the 10.10 32bit with a 11.04 64bit, and it went well. How I did it is to install the 11.04 from a USB drive and I picked the keep the setting and programs because I had 10.10 working so good.

It truly went well, I had to re-install a few apts and tweak a few plugins but outside of that everything is running great.

By the way I am running Unity and I did some customizing.
