I have an old laptop with a 20GB HD, 256MB RAM, on it I installed WindowsXP (12GB) and Fedora Core 1 (comes with "Linux for Non-Geeks" by R. Grant) (8GB), the dual boot installation worked well and most of the applications needed were loaded thru apt, I could not install Synaptic since several dependencies are no longer available, and since it uses Mozilla web browser many sites won't load.
I want to install a new distro instead of FC1, and keep the dual boot (XP+?), but given the limited storage space I don't know what distro 2 use.
Would u please recommend a system that may fit (Ubuntu or Fedora)
I'll appreciate u'r hlp:)

I installed Lubuntu10.04/XP in a dual boot that worked fine.
I tried to install the 11.04 iso file but it didn't install and after several tries I gave up on it, luckily I managed to find, with some effort the older version.:D
