new hard drive and new to ubuntu

how can i access the new hard drive i just put into my computer it shows up in disk utlity and i have formatted it and it says its healthy but all i see in the home directory is the drive i installed ubuntu on. i am useing ubuntu 11.04

If you open the Nautilus file manager, on the left side, you should see a line that says "400 GB Filesystem," if your new hard drive is 400 GB. If you click on it, you should be able to create folders and copy files to it.
