View Full Version : [ubuntu] Update-manager bug

I cannot get the bug reporter to report the update-manager package. When I go to report it, it gives the error: "Could not determine the package or source package name." That is when I press alt-F2 and input ubuntu-bug update-manager. The actual error/bug I need to report is with the update manager itself, after upgrading to natty, I've been unable to continue with updates, and have had it hang a few times when I hibernate. The error I get when I run the update manager is this:

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/us.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_main_bina ry-i386_Packages, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'

I've attached the files within that directory for your viewing pleasure.
