Tux features on cereal box, picture included :)

I was shopping in Aldi yesterday evening when I came across this cereal box. Not even just a penguin that looks like Tux but it is actually Tux himself :)

The penguin on the box may look "good", be he is an actual fact a software pirate! I caught him downloading a snide Photoshop the other day. I suppose acting as a cereal breakfast mascot don't pay too good.

As for your attachment being the "real" Tux... that's just gobbledegook. The "real" Tux is currently on a round-the-world hot air balloon race with Bill Gates and that Google nerd (which one? Ha! Ha!) What you showed us there was just a picture of Tux! Admit it!!!

Came across that link on OmgUbuntu the other day :) Since I posted this I have come across a few other instances of Tux being used for various products. He is making his way around :D

Is this even legal?

Is it okay for a commercial work to use FOSS symbols like Tux? Do they just have to provide the image files they used in their boxart? What are the requirements?

Am I the only one that smells a lawsuit. :shock: </knows nothing about licensing laws>
