upgrading to 11.04

Hi, I was just wondering if 11.04 is no longer the beta version. I am using 10.10 which is great but recently i tried upgrading when update manager popped up. all was going fine until it said something about unity and the screen was a mess. I would like to try 11.04 but only if it's going to work. what i mean is, can i attribute my problems upgrading to the fact it was a beta version or that my computer is not capable of running it properly.

11.04 is officially released, but this does not mean that it is free from bugs! Always best to wait a couple of months before installing the next release.

ok, thanks. I am keen to try it, but i don't want to keep going back and forth from new to old etc.

It is always good that people are into experimenting. For safety, the first experiment should be a live boot before installation.
