clear history in recent file folder under dash

can you please guide me how to clear recent history in dash under search files folders?also tell me how to customize dash application menu etc...

you could delete ~/.local/share/zeitgeist/activity.sqlite or there is a new Zeitgeist that will let you control thru the activity log manager
Not yet released though available thru a ppa (works fairly well
