I had the desktop version of ubuntu installed on my netbook previously. Then I got the 11.04 update which changed my desktop to what I think is the netbook version of ubuntu, which I highly dislike. Is there any way to change it back?

Log out and change to Gnome in Sessions on the lower screen.

Click on top left corner of Unity. Type in the search box for Login. Unlock. And select from the dropdown menu Ubuntu Classic. And exit to save. Reboot to make sure the changes have taken effect.

i believe that is where he's at now (gnome = unity)....try this: log out and when you are at the login screen, click once on your user name, then look down at the bottom of the page and change the selection to "ubuntu classic"...then type in your password and press enter.
