Hello,
I did install Ubuntu 10.10 on a Dell inspiron 1100. I decided to migrate to xubuntu in order to win some place and get a faster system. Unfortunately my xorg.conf has been reset along with my grub.conf. Both files are critical to run Ubuntu and likely xubuntu since there is a big issue with the intel 82845GL chipset. I so get blank screen after each reboot and only succeed in getting the desktop of xubuntu a couple of time by changing thoses files ...but it is not stable.
I am therefore looking for suitable xorg.conf and grub.conf for an Dell inspiron 1100 running xubuntu (10.10 I guess since I did the install using the update aplic)
