Desktop graphics won't disappear

Hi All,
Every once in a while, after closing some windows i get few graphics "lefties".
I think the best way to describe my problem would be with a snapshot of my desktop so i'm attaching one.

My laptop uses Intel HD graphics GPU
Ubuntu 10.04
