but this forum is a good place to be if you're a linux user.

And it's OK if you use another distro, windows, or mac. As long as you're respectful, you will be accepted. I've been to a lot of forums over the years, and I'm still drawn to ubuntuforums. Sure, there's a bunch of people on ignore, but what the heck, I've yet to find a better place to talk computer stuff no matter the subject.
