I've installed an Ubuntu Minimal version into my computer, however it does not boot. Grub is working but when I select ubuntu some messed up graphics appear and the system freezes.

During the installation I've only installed OpenSSH, print server and Samba.

My system is an Asus AT5ION-T with a D525 Atom and 4Gb ram. I had Ubuntu Desktop working fine but then I removed it to install Ubuntu minimal.

Hi and welcome to UF.

Have you tried different boot options?
How to set NOMODESET and other kernel boot options in grub2 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1613132)

Thanks. Problem solved. I was able to get to the prompt, login and install the nvidia drivers.
