I have a dual monitor system that is very powerful and I consider it my main workstation.

GOAL: I would like to set up a second system that basically is a remote version of the main workstation. In other words, I would like to be working at the main computer, get up and walk to the other one and be able to pick up exactly where I left up.

In order to do this, I'm thinking about setting up a very lightweight machine that basically serves as a driver for two monitors set at the exact same resolution as the main system. The new machine would log into the main workstation with something like VNC or a similar program. I've used VNC in the past but could never figure out how to make dual monitors work. It has been a while since then, so I'm wondering if anybody knows of a solution to fix this. Is there anything out there?

This is probably TMI, I want to do this because the second workstation will be a stand-up desk. My legs hurt too much when I sit down all day.

Thanks!
