I followed this guide.
http://www.liberiangeek.net/2011/05/enable-ubuntu-classic-desktop-in-ubuntu-11-04-natty-narwhal/

Log out and log in as Ubuntu classic, but still i get an Unity-desktop. I have also installed Unity-2d from synaptic. How do I know if the system has unity-2d or unity-3d?
I have only an eeepc 900, so 3d get really slow :(

cheers

Do you still get a Unity desktop, or are you just getting the unity dock on the left?

If you install the CompizConfig Settings Manager, you should be able to deselect the Unity plugin.

Logging in with "Classic No Effects" will probably also work.

No it didn't work. Maybe something happened when I install system-monitor for unity, or install 2d. make a reinstall.

Hmm, so you can't deselect the unity plugin, or it just loads regardless?
