I have just downloaded Zorin latest version extracted with winrar but I can't find the ISO to create a DVD all I have is a folder zorin-os-5-core-32-rc
Which consists of sub folders .disk, casper, isolinux and preseed.
I have also done this with previous ubuntu's to whicvh have been of no use, so what am I doing wrong in this instance?

Extracted with winrar??? Where, and how, exactly are you downloading this?
You can get the Zorin-os-5-core-32-rc here: http://zorin-os.com/releasecandidate.html
Are you planning to burn the iso to a DVD using Windows or Ubuntu? If you want to burn the iso to DVD from Windows use Iso Recorder or Infra Recorder: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto
Or if you are using Windows 7 just use Windows 7's iso recorder as it says there.
Be sure to burn the iso to DVD using the slowest possible speed.

I have downloaded Zorin-os-4 and I have burnt the image to a dvd in win 7 and it works fine boots from the dvd live.

My point is I have wasted bandwidth to download os-5 and it wouldn't let me put it onto a disc to boot so have I downloaded the wrong version os-5? it was downed as a winrar on an xp pc.

Good. Did you download the Zorin iso from the link that I gave in my last post?

Again, where did you download the Zorin iso from the first time? Do you have a link to it?
The link that I gave in my last post is the correct Zorin 5 iso.
I have been downloading and using many linux distros for 6 years. I have never had to extract a linux iso image from a rar file.

It is just how XP shows the file types. It is showing the file with the program that XP thinks should open it. Go to view file types and unclick the hide file extension box. You will then have it show as iso and will burn ok.

I downloaded from http://distrowatch.com/zorin-os-core-rc.-iso clicked on there and it comes up as a winrar file to download.

I did not even know that the "Other OS Talk" sub-forum was back on the Ubuntu Forums! Thanks for mentioning it.
