Firefox 2.0 will include anti-phishing capabilities that will alert you when visitting a known phishing site. Recently it was announced that the anti-phishing feature will be based on existing Google Safe Browsing (currently in beta status), a Firefox extension developed by Google, that checks every page you visit against a database of reported phishing sites. When you get to a forged site Google Safe Browsing will shadow the web site and present a globe stating that it is a phishing web site and you are prompted to ignore the warning and continue to the page, exit that web site or report it again so Google will know that another user has determined that it is in fact a fake site.
