View Full Version : [ubuntu] Boot problem 11.04

I get "input not supported" on my monitor. Not Ubuntu logo with little dots. The system boots but slowly. Esc. does not get me to the boot script. Had the problem with both 32 bit and 64 bit. Never before on this hardware with previous Ubuntu releases.

Any thoughts?

Could you do Ctrl+Alt+F1 at bootup (after selection of boot) to get to the terminal.

Post errors if you find some in the terminal.

ctl-alt-f1 gives nothing. In fact, it seems to stop the boot process but gives no script. I have to reboot to begin again.

hmm, can you list your hardware?


while i haven't had boot problems myself, i have to say that this is one of the most common issues I've seen in the forums lately.

Asus mb, AMD phenom quad 4 cpu, Nvidia on-board 7025/nforce 630a, 4g ram.
