I have a habbit of thinking of stupid ideas, and things when bored, usually already done somewhere, and so I was sat here slurping coffee waiting for a file upload to finish and messing around with xsensors, boinc, and various other apps on my spare desktop and as
I use crtl + cursors to move around workspaces all the time, but sometimes just want to leave the spare desktop on the same set of apps without having to set everything to always visible for each app, I got to thinking it would be nice if we could lock the workspace on the spare desktop or something.

Which lead to me thinking that someone must have setup ubuntu with multiple workspaces per a montor or similar already, so I thought I would post and see if anyone knows how to do this or if its been done or something.

Knowing me its probably a well documented keyboard shortcut I never heard of!

Lots of people have set of multi-monitors aligned to each workspace.

Heck, Windows can do multi-workspaces with one monitor, but you have to "unlock" the feature via your own program. (Since Windows XP, it's been native code, but it can't actually be seen.)
