I installed 10.10 on a dual boot (with Win XP) on my PC.
the installation went on smoothly. It downloaded all the packages.
After installation, on reboot I selected Ubuntu 10.10 for boot.
The login window appeared. On entering the password, Ubuntu 10.10 started, but the login window appeared again. this process kept on repeating.
What can be the reason and the possible solution.
The password was correct, as I checked in the recovery mode.
