The main attribute of a good wallpaper, IMO, is redundancy. The theme or "story" should not be lost if you block a substantial part of a wallpaper. This can be accomplished by multiple presence of similar objects. For example, to have a single cute kitten in the center is not good. One may even be tempted to place applications around it, trying not to block the kitten. OTOH, a group of kittens scattered throughout the screen might work.

Another important attribute is a relatively low level of detail: it shouldn't be distracting, and it should not be too complex. A group of kittens is Ok, but not on a background of a Where is Waldo poster.

so you like the site?

lol, you can filter by category on the archive page --if you only want to look at kittens and the like.

the miscellaneous & humour sections are more of what you might call 'wallpapers' and less of art/photography, allthough I think they all deserve to be seen _within a wallpaper context.

mostly batch added, the story makes itself :D

I like detail, are you looking at the archive page and cross-referencing the pics?? -- I'm not sure what you mean by

ok something's just gone wrong and category filtering doesnt work any more, i'll fix it soon

Yes, there are many good wallpapers there, for sure.

The "categories" seem broken. It worked when I first tried it, but now this, for example, shows an empty page:
http://vex.nu//index.php?x=browse&category=6&pagenum=1

my thumbnails stopped being generated when adding pics, and the sql doesn't want to replace unused slots, so now theres a jump from around 250 to 400 on the post id.

I decided to delete the wrong section of the database as an attempt to fix this so I'll have to reassign them, which I can do as batch but cba atm.

Your site won't load. I've tried three different browsers.

edit: I've found out what the problem was. Once I click "allow" with NoScript,
the site for some reason won't load.

No, but here is the strange thing: I can still connect to it through proxify...
