I had installed Ubuntu 11.04. I got rid of unity and installed gnome shell. Realized it sucked more than unity, and then Reinstalled Ubuntu 11.04 next to the original one. I don't know how to get rid of the screwed up 30 gigs of ubuntu that I ReInstalled next to. Please help me use gParted and figure out what to type in so that next time I boot up I can log on.

I know how to resize, delete and all that. I've done that before, but once I do THAT I know I have to edit a file to tell it that that partition is gone so that next time I start my computer I won't get a blank screen.

I need help here. I know how to delete the partition with gparted. But once I do that what file do I edit to tell the computer that that messed up old partition is gone?
