I don't understand why Ubuntu Desktop versions 10.04 (lucid), 10.10 (maverick), and 11.04 (natty) all work fine on my laptops, yet both Ubuntu Studio 10.10 and 11.04 cause the onboard speakers to cease operating.
I've tried the standard snd-hda-intel model=panasonic trick, to no avail. Any suggestions?
