Help please TT_TT
Im running ubuntu 10.10 on my laptop with compiz fusion.
I tried to upgrade my ubuntu to 11.04, the upgrade went well after restarting i tried to configure my compiz to return my previous setting like desktop cube et all and resolving all my conflicts.
after such my menu started not appearing on the profile where i edited the compiz settings, hence made me force to back up my files and reformat my laptop, i deleted the previous parttitions of may ubuntu 11.04 and precedded of reinstallation of ubuntu 10.04, after the installation after i restarted my pc, my laptops prompts

Error: unknown filesystem
rescue grub>
or grub rescue> W/E

i tried reading previous incidents on the internet, i think the problem is the bootstrap my laptop reading is the old bootstrap and not the new bootstrap recreated by ubuntu 10.04, i also have my windows 7 maintained by grub, so now the ubuntu and window end up unusable help me please T_T

The boot info script looks like Natty's Grub is still installed, so we have to find out.

Boot normally, and hold down the shift key. When the Grub2 menu appears, see if it says Grub 1.98 or Grub 1.99.

If it's 1.98, boot a Maverick LiveCD. If not, stop and we will have to take some extra steps.
Select 'Try It Now', then at the Desktop open a terminal and run these commands. In the second command, do not include the partition number:

sudo mount /dev/sda6 /mnt
sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sda

Reboot without the CD. If it boots:

sudo update-grub
