I returned mine due to the Optimus fiasco.
Trouble is, I can't seem to find a replacement for it, even more so if considering price.
So what system did you settle on to replace it, and where did you buy it?

Second generation I7, lighted keyboard, 1920 HD display,
full HD out via HDMI, Intel ultimate N 6300 wireless, blu-ray burner,
and a decent GPU, (the GT540M is a bit skimpy, perhaps the gtx485 or an ATI equivalent?

Nevertheless, yeah, I need ALL the above, no exceptions,
but where for something close to what the Dell price was?

I would click report abuse and have it put in the Community Cafe by a mod. It will see some more light there. Or maybe in the for sale area of the forums? Both ways, it will be seen by more people.

I really don't understand the point of gaming laptops? They weigh a ton, too bulky, and battery life is a joke.

I also hate it when users wish someone else to find a new computer for them...

Thanks for the help moderator.
But so far, it hasn't. :)
But I know eventually it will, as those who know the true facts about all this will eventually find the post.
I'm not up for any useless altercations with useless/non-factual answers.

The l702x with 3d-display doesn't have optimus as far as I know. Maybe other laptops with 3d-display also don't have optimus ?
