My friend has a laptop and is running ubuntu. She purchased windows 7 and has asked me to install it. I recommened a dual boot. I know that you can do a dual boot when the "original" OS is windows and can procede to install Linux. My question, is it possible to install the dualboot when the only OS is Ubuntu 10.04?

Thanks everyone, and I do apologize, only if this question has been asked 1000 times before and I missed it.

It's possible to install windows after Ubuntu, but it's much more difficult. Windows should be installed first.

Here is a link you may find useful.

You can find a few more by googling for "installing windows after ubuntu"

Make sure you install windows to a primary partition, not a logical partition.
