Hi
I installed Natty Narwahl (11-4) using the option of inside the Windows partition.
I'm now very happy with Ubuntu and wish to move the installation out of the Windows partition and hopefully delete Windows completely.

I have room on the disc to resize / create another partition, etc, but am unsure if all this is possible and if GRUB will work with my changes, ie: still boot successfully.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

It is possible. See:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide#How%20do%20I%20migrate%20to%20a%20real%2 0partition,%20and/or%20get%20rid%20of%20Windows%20entirely?

Er... Good luck! :|

Many thanks. It woud not be the end of the World if it went wrong as I've not made too many changes to my install which I could not redo.

I'll give it a go and if it fails, start again.
Windows has nothing but iTunes anyway.

Cheers

After reading through that howto I was tempted to suggest that you might prefer to backup your personal files and make a fresh installation. :)

Enjoy!

Well, to be honest, after reading it myself I thought the same!
Although I've nothing really to backup as both are relatively fresh installations anyway and all my files are on an external disc. All I was concerned with was the posibility of a fresh install not going as well as my current install but think I'm just being over-cautious.
