I just did a fresh 10.04 install (64 bit), and haven't had ubuntu in about a year due to an unstable computer situation.
I know there's lots that needs to be done to a vanilla installation to get it going (installing 3rd party java, installing flash, getting codecs, etc.), but I can't seem to find a nice list somewhere of someone reminding of all of these things. Can someone point me that way?
I found this script, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I paste it into the terminal, and get a pop up asking for my language, and then a bunch of output saying things don't exist. One time I got two pop ups that were empty with a blue notification icon and an 'ok' button.
