twitter overloaded?

I don't like twitter, but it's useful sometimes when I'm trying to work out the extent of an internet/tv outage. My tv stopped working properly so I decided to have a look at what people were saying and twitter seems to be down as well. Glad to see the Ubuntu forums are still working :-)

Yeah I tried a few hrs ago & it was hanging for ages then the big whale!

I pinged from several locations around the world but, clearly it's widespread judging from the response times :'(

Hope it's not a concerted DDoS as twitter does often appear delicate ;-)

I can access it fine.

They got back online shortly after my post. The TV problem was a fault feeding the local channels to the cable network. Now that everything is working again twitter becomes useless again :-)

Yeah back up here also ... useless???? Twitter is a rich source of information ;-)
