Been having a lot of trouble after trying Natty. Clean install. It's really frustrating and I'd appreciate any feedback/help.

System: Dell Latitude XT
Video: ATI Radeon X1250
Natty: vanilla install, ran all updates

Problems:

* System won't shutdown or reboot. Always hangs when I try either, need to manually power down.

* Graphic glitches and tearing: Occurs during start up, shutdown and when Unity is loaded. The start up and shutdown Ubuntu screen is messed up black and white boxes. Unity panel edges have random pixels everywhere.

* Lot of difficulty with external monitor; when I plug it in, it defaults to cloning my laptop screen at whatever resolution its at. If I try changing it in any way from System > Admin > Monitors, I get the following error:

"The selected configuration for displays could not be applied. requested position/size for CRTC 64 is outside the allowed limit: position (=1280, 0), size(1920, 1080), maximum=(1920,1920)"
