Ubuntu 11.04 iso issue

Hi all
I'm trying to create a VM to run Ubuntu 11.04 in and for some reason my downloaded iso isn't being recognised, it's 6.9 meg labelled as raw cd image

I thought I could just point at it and it would be treated as a boot disk, I'm using Virtual Box by the way.

Alternately I'd like to try make a USB version, but same problem I click the iso file but nothing happens, just USB-creator just ignores the click

any ideas or point to other threads please

6.9 meg sounds rather small for an Ubuntu ISO. Which flavour ISO are you using - Mini, Desktop, something else....?

I've gone via the Ubuntu site, desktop I think, 32 bit

Ok, I think I was just trying to do too many things at the same time I think my download just broke before it was finished. will have another go. thanks
