View Full Version : [gnome] Strange 3d artifacts

I am running 10.04 Lucid on a Lenovo W500 laptop. Using both the integrated Intel graphics and/or the ATI discrete graphics I have been getting the attached artifacts.

It may have been related to the Win7 VirtualBox I booted up today which had 3d effects enabled.

I issue a
metacity --replace command and it goes away. It comes back when I turn compiz back on.

This happens after reboots and switching the graphics drivers.

Thanks for any and all help!

I tried the compiz PPA, no change

I do *NOT* see this affect on the contents of windows, only the background and cairo-desktop

:(
