If you just can't get enough Angry Birds (and let's be honest, you can't), a free web version is now available for users of Google's also-free Chrome browser.

If you've already got Chrome, just fire up your browser and click this link (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aknpkdffaafgjchaibgeefbgmgeghloj#).

If you need to download and install Chrome first, click this link (http://www.google.com/chrome?platform=linux) and then click this Angry Birds link (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aknpkdffaafgjchaibgeefbgmgeghloj#).

Then kiss your productivity goodbye (use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out).

Just wondering! Why do I need to install anything if it is a "free web version...". Is it something I don't understand? ...and is this for a phone and not the browser itself?

It's made using HTML 5 and a little bit of Flash Player (for sound). It actually works fine in Firefox 4, although interestingly it tells me that my version of Chromium isn't recent enough.

I love Angry Birds! I'm currently working on getting 3 stars in the original game. Almost there too. I have Rio and Seasons also. And I'm pretty sure this will work on browsers other than Chrome.


Anyone know how to download it so I can launch it from my desktop?

This would be awesome! Possibly a bookmark the desktop too.

Nice. Didn't work on chrome. Worked on firefox. Can't beat level 21, I'm done.
