Why is it that GTK apps look like crap in KDE on standard Ubuntu? I've installed QtCurve, and everytime i edit the GTK theme in System Settings-> Appearance then logout, reboot, etc, the theme goes back to the crappy non-themed gtk look. this has been happening for quite some time and I'm getting VERY frustrated by this.. I do not want to install the Kubuntu desktop, I just want my KDE and GTK apps to work on Ubuntu like they do on every other Linux distro I use. I swear, it's as if the Ubuntu devs are trying to make KDE look bad so no one will use it, because I don't have the problem with Arch Linux, or never had the issue with any of the other distros i've used before, just Ubuntu..
