View Full Version : [ubuntu] Cannot start Natty after installation

I've installed Natty from a live cd, but I cannot get it to start. I get an "error: out of disk" message and the grub rescue prompt. I have searched the forum and attempted several solutions published here, but unfortunately I either do not understand them well enough (most likely) or there is something else wrong.

I get stuck right away. I give the "ls" command and get this response: (hd0) (hd0,msdos1). After this, nothing works.

Can someone walk me through this?

Start from a live CD (or USB) and post the output of the boot info script: http://bootinfoscript.sourceforge.net/

This will give us more information about what the problem can be.

+1 on posting the output of the 'bootinfoscript'.

Please press the '#' button when posting and place the the script results between the
