I hope this is the correct place to put this problem i have.
I have just upgraded to 11.04 64bit and everything was ok except one of my 2 monitors looked funny. Both are 19" LG monitors but one is wide screen. This was because it was using the default display drivers. I changed to the recommended nvidia drivers. I got a blank screen after reboot.
I have seen a way to solve this on "Graphics Resolution- Upgrade /Blank Screen after reboot" thread
(Solved with uncommenting(delete #) GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480 in /etc/default/grub)
I have booted up using the live cd but do not have rights to change the said file.
Can someone please advice on how to change this so i can get back into 11.04 and change the display drivers so they work. Any help would be greatly received.
Please note i am a simpleton when it comes to these things thats why i looked for the easiest way to solve this problem.
