Netbeans menu doesn't go on global menu. It stays in application. Well, OK, I can live with that
After dragging anyting inside Netbeans (windows, menus, ETC), Unity Launcher stops dodging windows and autohiding. It just sits on the screen. It starts to behave normally only after I restart Netbeans. Now- that's pretty annoying.

EDIT: Even worse: If I exit Netbeans during debugging session, I must exit Firefox as well before launcher starts behaving normally again. Now, that's entirely unacceptable. Good enough reason to remain on "Ubuntu Classic" (what's left of Gnome that is), and eventually switch do different distro or even... ungh... WAMP.

Is anything happening with this? I like both Unity and Netbeans, and would hate to have to choose...

Reported it as a bug:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1753566&page=2

Currently, I'm running Natty in Classic mode, and trying to install something else in an empty 300 gig partition I've prepared. Debian stubbornly refuses to install, stating that it has no permission to do that. The next thing I might try is Mint, & Suse.

Take a look at this for a workaround:

Well, that's a whole lot less annoying than having to close the Netbeans in the middle of debugging session, but still annoying.

Any joy with the first issue (the launcher icon)?

I found this post but none of the configuation files it mentions seem to exist, does any know where the unity config/desktop files are and I'll have a dig about
