give it to charities/school/less fortunate people- even if you won't get much money /if any/, it is always worth to help others (community isn't only at ubuntuforums ;))

If I gave a less fortunate person a 15GB hard drive, wouldn't they be even less fortunate? LOL..

Convert the IDE to SATA / PATA via conversion attachment, then get one of those plug/play things that sit on your desk where you can set internal HDDs vertically (two at a time)

take it apart, and use the big fat magnets inside to hold up notes on my fridge :)

I had a 20GB drive which I used for testing new releases. I guess that 15 GB would be plenty big enough for that, too.

make it into a keychain! lol

nah, I like the idea of using it just for testing new releases, most logical, least wasteful probably.
good idea Irihapeti!

Hey I need a HDD! My 80 GB became dysfunctional last year, and been using 10 GB ever since, but that too died on me a few days ago.

There is a noticeable difference.
But the real problem here is it's size. Small hdd's are a lot slower, due to the fact that the bits are spread out more, and of course older technology.

One fun thing to do with it is to open up the top, connect it to your computer, and read/write to the disk. Fun to see !
It won't last very long, a few minutes to maybe half an hour or so, but it's mesmerizing to look at.
After doing that, remove the magnets, they're rare earth, so very strong, and remove the platters, they make nifty little mirrors. You can also make a platter into a clock or so,
