View Full Version : [SOLVED] missing vmlinuz-2.6.39-0-generic in boot menu lines

Runnning Natty.
After upgrading the kernel and reboot the corresponding boot menu line is missing.

grub sees it ok. I can boot ok editing a grub boot line.

any idea?

having many /root instantiations, need to run "update-grub" in the 1st one

I see you have multiple installs of Ubuntu. Which install controls Grub? Which was installed last.
Run sudo ubdate-grub while booted into each install, it should become obvious which install is in control.
