Restore Ubuntu 11.4

Hi All
I upgraded my ubuntu 10.10 to the new 11.4. Everything worked fine, untill I installed Gnome :(.. the effects disappeared, no splash screen, notification bar disappeared.. Simply, Everything was screwed. :confused:

I want to restore ubuntu to its original state, the fresh installation.. Is there any way to do that??

Back up all your valuable data and then do fresh install of Natty.You probably tried to install Gnome 3.Making separate home partition can be good idea,because in situations like this one your files and setting will be saved and you will be able to do reinstall without thinking about what is gonna be with your files.
