I downloaded a package called "powerpoint viewer" in ubuntu 11.04
suddenly the power goes off and my laptop was shutdown as its battery is totally consumed. When I again restarted the system " I am failed to login in ubuntu and "the recovery console is also not working". Please provide some some help how to recover my ubuntu using "live cd" as I do not want to format the existing ubuntu as I customized it according to my need by spending many hours... please help me out in this regard.....
