How to install software to desired directory using synaptic package manager

Hi there,

I am having some trouble using the synaptic package manager. I wish to install new softwares to my own directory, say, /home/software/, but I didn't find anywhere in the synaptic package manager where I can select my installation folder. Can anyone help?

There is no such option, as Synaptic installs software to predefined locations.
