I just performed the upgrade to 11.04. I love the look of Gnome 3, but am a little concerned with how restricted it feels now. Admittedly I've only been using it a short while, but I'm looking for very basic things. The last version had a Preferences and Administration menus (I think that were their names), where I could edit ... preferences and system administration things. Do these menus exist anywhere anymore? Is there an actual list of installed programs somewhere, or do I find out what is installed by searching only?
