I am having trouble with python-mlt installation. I tried to install openshot video editor as per its install instruction page (http://www.openshot.org/ppa/) after entering the 3rd line I get this in terminal:

brad@brad-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install openshot openshot-doc

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
openshot : Depends: python-mlt3 but it is not going to be installed or
python-mlt2 but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

Someone on the openshot forum pointed me to a dependency page for openshot (Odd the install page didn't say anything about additional dependencies).

***** Here is the main problem. When I go into SPM and type python-mlt it show python-mlt3 and python-mlt4. if I try to install python-mlt3 (that was one that comes up in the original install prob in term) I get an error "python-mlt3: Depends: libmlt3 but it is not going to be installed"

Any Idea what is going on? Seems like a LOT of hoops to jump through just to install a program.

Thanks,
Brad
