Hi all,

This is my situation:
I need to install an ubuntu netboor server. I don't want to use it to install ubuntu but to run it on diskless clients.
I already read a lot of threads about it but not realy on what I'm exactly looking for.
The clients don't have the same hardware. I need some install as the LiveCD that can detect the hardware on startup.
It will also be necessary to mount a home (NFS) partition at boot time to persist users work (I know it is not that difficult, but now I'm here I'm putting all my thoughts on it ;))
I want it to use my clients hardware (not a thin client mode if I'm right).
But this brings me up another question... Is it possible to mix both modes? So that I can choose, depending on the clients mac address, to run the thin clien mode for some old PCs (as some of them are p120 with 64 or 128 MB ram) and to use the hardware of some other clients (as there will also be dual/quad cores with 2 gigs of ram?).

Thanks!
