I installed natty fresh on notebook (lenovo v460). No network. I have a unity interface which does not seem to do anything. The left popup comes up but nothing I click on does anything.

Try again in a VM. Forgot to turn on 3d. Natty turns off unity. Fix 3d. There seems to be no obvious way to turn on unity again. Now I have the 10.10 interface.

One more strike. Any tips?:guitar:

If you log out, and click the username to login again and display the password box, you should have the possibility to choose unity at the bottom.

Unity doesn't do anything...

It's an April fools day joke, just like the Canterbury project.:D

Actually,

This should help:

I went through everything you did, exactly the same way...

You've got about an hours worth of reconfiguration ahead of you to get both the Ubuntu (Unity) and the Ubuntu Classic (non-Unity) desktop-sessions set up correctly.

Looks like my current problems are VM related. Apparently this has been seem by both vmware and virtualbox users. Has anybody gotten the Ubuntu Unity interface to work in a VM?
